Sapphire's Ministry

Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.

Sapphire is a native of Buff Bay, Portland, Jamaica. She is the daughter of Renowned Pastor, Reverend Carla Dunbar.

Sapphire developed a love for music from the age of 6 and would sing at various concerts and events in her hometown as a child. She composed her first song "Lord I need you now "at the age of 12 and later won a competition dubbed "Voices in Praise" with her original entry.

When producer Dale "Dr Dizzle" Virgo of Dizzle Labs happened to hear Sapphire singing, he was impressed with both her voice and composition skills, and eventually recorded her first four singles "Stand Firm", "The Prayer-A Psalm", "Gospel Flava" and "Wife's Cry".

She has made appearances in Jamaica and overseas on GENESIS 2011, RETV School Tour, Passion and Purity 2011, Gospel Explosion, Easter Combo's, Liberation, Expressions 8- Antigua, Boat Ride Gospel Concert 2012 in Brooklyn, NY, among others.

"I Belong to Him" and "Nah Waste No Time" produced by Karl Gibson of 'On The Shout Records', and her two recent singles 'Nah Let You Go' and 'Run to the Lord' produced by Dr Dizzle, have allowed her growing fan base to explore a fraction of what this dynamic, Inspired by God, musically driven artiste has to offer to the world. These recent tracks have been receiving considerable rotation and has inspired a increasingly vocal following.

Sapphire is currently working on releasing new singles in hope of completing her album for a 2013 Release.

Sapphire has a powerful testimony and is determined to stimulate change in Jamaica and the world at large with her positive music, as she embarks on her task with humility. Managed by her husband Shaun Brown and booked by Rhema Ministries Books and More, Sapphire is confident in her duties as a messenger and her future as an 'atmosphere changer'.
